Commentary from the Designer: Old vintage labels like those from cigars provide a wonderful history of advertising art that no longer is being done today. Before the days of television, the product artwork had to stand out to attract buyers. This Wizard artwork is one of the best examples of those vintage ad illustrations. When I first saw the label, it reminded me immediately of Harry Potter but of course it pre-dated the Harry Potter world by many decades.
