	From Wikopedia: Mohawk, meaning “People of the Flint”, are an indigenous people of North America originally from the Mohawk Valley in upstate New York to southern Quebec and eastern Ontario. Their current settlements include areas around Lake Ontario and the St Lawrence River in Canada. Their traditional homeland stretched southward of the Mohawk River, eastward to the Green Mountains of Vermont, westward to the border with the Oneida Nation traditional homeland territory, and northward to the St Lawrence River. As original members of the Iroquois League the Mohawk were known as the “Keepers of the Eastern Door”, who guarded the Iroquois Confederation against invasion from that direction A tattoo is a marking made by inserting ink into the layers of skin to change the pigment for decorative or other reasons. Tattoos on humans are a type of decorative body modification, while tattoos on animals are most commonly used for identification or branding. Tattooing has been practiced worldwide.

	Commentary from the Designer: Tattoo art has a fascinating history. I find it interesting to just thumb through tattoo flash sheets. Although there are some pretty cool modern designs, I still like the classic tattoo art best. The vintage Mohawk Indian Tattoo is one of my favorite designs.
